ONF Steering Committee Meeting Summary 23rd Oct 2025
- ONF SC
- Oct 26
- 2 min read
We held our bi-monthly meeting to discuss the latest developments in the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) and other key local issues. Here's a summary of what was covered and the next steps we're taking together:
📸 NCIL Project: CCTV and Community Safety
We discussed the ongoing NCIL project, with a focus on the relocation of CCTV cameras in the centre of the village. A key concern raised was whether a single camera would provide sufficient coverage once the new roundabout is completed. Our local Councillor Carl Mann will provide an update on policing aspects and clarify funding for ongoing support costs, which remain uncertain under current guidelines.
🌳 NCIL Project: Murray House Open Space & Play Spaces
RBC have a new lead who is now leading the play space projects and has initiated the consultation process for the Murray House Open Space. The ONF SC are working with RBC to ensure the design proposal is ready for public consultation.
🌿 Strengthening Our Green Spaces
The importance of enhancing our green corridor strategy and biodiversity policy was a major theme discussed. The Steering Committee agreed on the need to:
Review the environment section of the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
Identify specific areas to strengthen biodiversity efforts.
Clarify the size and scope of green corridors.
