Brian Williams

Born on the Isle of Wight, my family moved to Woking in approximately 1950 and I have lived in the general area ever since. My wife, Jacqui, and I have lived in Ottershaw since 2004.
After studying Aeronautical Engineering at the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, I eventually joined British European Airways, now British Airways, in 1967 at Heathrow Airport. Whilst at BA I chaired the Aerospace Group of a National Engineering Institute and was Vice Chair of a National Aerospace Engineering Board.
I played field hockey for many years for Woking and have enjoyed many years of skiing until a knee operation curtailed these activities. I am now a volunteer at Brooklands Museum, play golf occasionally and enjoy gardening, walking and travelling especially to Europe in more recent years. I also hold a UK Private Pilots Licence.
I joined the Ottershaw Society in 2005 and became a committee member soon after and I am the current Chairman.
I am very interested in environmental issues and in particular the protection of wildlife and the green belt.
